Focusing on Gratitude

There are numerous postings on social media every day with cute photographs and little analogies about happiness, being happy, expressing gratitude. The main idea being that if you act happy and thankful you will be happy. I believe a little “mind over matter” works for many people. I’m certainly not saying that I am unhappy. I think I am a mostly happy person. I have much to be thankful for. Great. I appreciate it. I am thankful. On any given day, you can become unhappy. Someone hurts your feelings, says something that is offensive to you, whatever. Boom. Suddenly you are not quite happy. I think it’s ok. If you are happy 100% of the time, don’t you miss out on being really happy sometimes?¬†
